Anyone who puts in time to prepare and practice will always Excel and usually do well when it comes to competitions. The most important thing is to join, to take part and have fun learning. Everyone at MECC is getting better and has improved a lot, looking back to when I started competing 2-3 years ago, it’s a completely different level to what it was before.

This is an amazing way to level up your Excel skills. Excel is used in a whole lot of different industries and courses so if you have good Excel skills, it gives you a leg up on all the other students who compete for things like job placements and internships.

I would say just do it. It’s free why not, and it’ll be really fun. You never know the places Excel will take you. I just started in January and in May I went to Amsterdam for the MECC European Open 2026 which is amazing so yeah, like go for it especially if you’re a woman.
