What equipment will be used in the Preliminary Rounds?
Preliminary Rounds will take place during the morning in closed sessions at the Eller College of Management. Participants must provide their own hardware and software to be used during these rounds. Participants must be able to set up and troubleshoot their own equipment.
Can I use my Mac?
You may use your personal Mac during the preliminary rounds, but be aware that the final round will be done on PCs provided by the University of Arizona in the Esports Arena.
Can the MECC provide me equipment such as an additional monitor or other hardware to be used during the Preliminary Rounds?
The MECC will not provide additional equipment during the Preliminary Rounds.
Can I bring an additional equipment such as an additional monitor for the Preliminary Rounds?
Yes, you are able to bring whatever hardware you would like to use during the Preliminary Rounds. Note that you must be able to transport, set up, and troubleshoot your own hardware.
What hardware will I be using during the Final Round?
Students who make it to the Finals will be required to use the PCs provided at the Esports Arena.
Individual Finalists are provided hotel nights on December 1 and December 2. Individual Finalists who are traveling from outside the US can request an additional night on November 30. Approval will be based on available flights. These nights will be reserved for you by the MECC at the Tucson Marriott University Park.
Any additional nights outside of the provided nights will be at the cost of the Individual Finalist.
If you are eligible and are approved for flight reimbursement to the MECC Finals, additional steps are required to be eligible to be reimbursed. You will be required to provide your flight receipts that will need to include your name, itinerary, and show that the tickets have already been paid for. Please review all FAQs to ensure you meet the requirements for flight reimbursement and to see if you will be required to provide additional airline quotes.
Students who qualify for cash prizes will be required to provide the same documentation and will not have to repeat these steps if they have already provided the required documentation for flight reimbursement.

Yes, you are able bring one guest that can stay with you in your provided hotel room at no additional fee. If you register your guest with the MECC before traveling for the Finals, your guest can also be provided breakfast and lunch on the day of competition, December 2. There will be a fee if they would like to attend the Awards Ceremony and Dinner on December 2. The fee will be announced closer to the date.
No, we are only able to reimburse eligible flight costs of only the Individual Finalist regardless if the combined total is under the reimbursement limits.
