Competitions

Starting MECC Fall Season all of our competitive events will be played on Excel Esports Online platform. You can sign up for free and enjoy some free practice games there to get familiar with the platform, so on your big day you now what you’ll have to do.

The MECC Fall Season will have these competitions:

Important to remember:

  • AI tools are not allowed during competitions
  • You need to submit answers in the Excel Esports Online platform answer fields
  • After each game ends, you must upload your solution file.

There will be four Weekend Battles where you can test your skills. Each battle will be open throughout the designated weekend, giving you plenty of time to compete. Once you start a game, you’ll have 30 minutes to complete and submit your answers. After the timer ends, you’ll have additional time to upload your solution file. These events are a great way to see how you stack up against students worldwide and practice before Qualification Round and MECC Championships!

MECC Qualification Round is the most important online event this season. This is your chance to qualify for MECC Team & Individual Championships.

There will be two time slots to pick the one that works for you.

A total of 70 students will qualify from this round for the MECC Individual Championship Semi-Finals. Qualification spots will be allocated between the two time slots in proportion to the number of participants in each session.

Students who qualify from this round for the Individual Semi-Finals also become eligible to compete in the MECC Team Quarter-Finals. If they can form a team according to rules – must include at least one Individual Semi-Finals qualifier and consist of three students representing the same school.

There will be four Team e-Invitationals where teams can compete at both Junior Varsity and Varsity levels. These hybrid events are organized with assistance of MECC College Ambassadors. For Varsity teams, these competitions serve as one of the pathways to qualify for the MECC Team Championship.
