TASK
You are getting your DJ setup ready for your next big gig! In digital music, instruments communicate via the Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI). Communication happens with bytes (i.e., 8 binary digits such as 10010010) exchanged from a controller to each instrument. The instrument has to identify if the message is addressed to it, and if so, what kind of action it should trigger. “Keep in mind that a byte is 8 binary digits (e.g., 10010010) and a nibble is 4 binary digits (e.g., 1001).
One of your tasks will be to convert bytes and nibbles into decimal numbers. E.g., byte 00111101 converts to decimal number 61.”
