Here is a comprehensive walkthrough guide for the MECC 2022 Individual Semi-Finals – Snowman provided by one of our faculty fellows, Diarmuid Early. The case is available in your ExPrep account. Try it yourself, and if you get stuck, look for the solution in the videos. You can watch how it went down during the live finals.

TASK
Basic Rules:
Snowman is a variation of a very well-known kids game. Before the start of each round, the host of the game thinks of a word. The players need to guess the word, letter-by-letter. A player needs to guess a letter each turn. If the letter is in the word, the player guesses again. If it is not, then the player gets a part of the snowman drawn.
Game Over:
If all the 10 parts of the snowman are drawn, a player loses.
Note that all the 5 levels of this case deal only with 1-player games (no need to model for multi-player variations).
